Karlín was rebuilt after the 2002 flood into Prague's most polished quarter: wide boulevards, specialty coffee, riverside lawns and tech offices. It feels almost Scandinavian — clean, quiet and safe — and the old center is two metro stops away. You pay for the polish: prices sit near the top of the market and good rooms go fast.
